{February 15, 2010}   Jay-Z says Original “We Are the World” is ‘Untouchable’

According to MTV News, Jay-Z says that the original We Are the World is ‘untouchable’. He said that instead of a remake, an original song should have been written like his song, “Stranded”, which Jay-Z premiered at the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon.

I love Jay, but I have to disagree. I feel like you cannot compare the song made in 1985 to the remake of 2010 because they are from two different generations.

Either way, both songs are uplifting and are about helping out others in their time of need. No comparison is even necessary. Sorry Jay.

What do you think? Is the original better than the remake? Or should there even be a comparison?
